Haba only uses baby safe, water-based ecological solvent free lacquers on the surfaces of their wooden toys. Multiple lacquer layers render the surface of the toy extremely resistant to humidity, saliva and wear and tear, allowing the toy to be taken from the hand to the mouth at any time . Made in Germany
